There are many beautiful facilities, including private waiting areas and photography studios, multimedia presentation rooms (think private screening room) and an über portrait garden that looks out and even a kitchen to prepare snacks for your children.

Since 2005, Kim and Francisco have carefully reconfigured their back garden space to create lush gardens, beautiful backdrops and textures.

In 2010, we added light-filtering ceilings to some of our favorite backdrops so we could be outside in foggy conditions and the midday summer sun. With an outdoor heater to keep families toasty in winter and refreshing water features to keep them cool in summer. We are happy to be able to extend our natural light shooting opportunities for most of the year.

The pandemic years mean a big shift from indoor to outdoor photography. Adaptability is our middle name and we add commercial restaurant heaters to keep customers warm during fall and winter shoots, as well as copious amounts of hot tea and cocoa. Kim built and runs a fashion business called Dare Heart that sells gorgeous cotton lingerie for women. The studio is now available to rent by the hour for events and other photographers through Peerspace.

In 2015, Francisco began a new career as a Portland® Realtor® with Portland Digs. While he keeps a hand in the day-to-day operations at Campbell Salgado Studio, he is now in Portland helping people buy homes for sale and sell their homes. If you have had the opportunity to work with him, you know that he strives to provide quality services with integrity. His real estate clients are very pleased with his support, guidance and negotiation skills. Hear what they have to say and read his philosophy on helping people on his real estate website. In addition to his many roles, he continues to create sculptures – see and buy his work here.

Meanwhile, Kim Campbell continues to run Campbell Salgado Studio with all the playfulness, competence and care for which she is known. She also continues her fine art career with her photography. Going to many festivals for photo reviews, showing work in galleries and creating new bodies from images, she always seems to have a project in hand. See more of her exquisite works on Kim’s personal website.

As our beautiful business evolves into a new era and new technologies, Kim and Francisco continue to embrace the fine arts that first brought them to the field of photography. Kim continues her career in fine art photography and her sculpture Francisco.

In late 2014, Kim and Francisco launched their lifestyle video blog, LifeHack INC. Showing creative genius, this duo finds humor and solutions to all kinds of everyday problems. 2013 saw the launch of a new product line called Foto Playground™ as a DIY photo booth studio experience for our selfie-loving customers.

After a wave that hit many small businesses, we come ashore. With new technologies under our belts, a cohesive team and a transformative outdoor space, we’re ready to play.

We are committed to keeping our friendly photography studio open and accessible to Portland families. Over the past few years, this option has become less and less available as some of our fellow photographers have gone out of business during tough economic times. Guess what? We moved above the store. Remember the upstairs studio? It is now our dining room, allowing us views of Tacoma and our beautiful outdoor space.

So much has been accomplished in the past few years that our timeline deserves a new appreciation.

Which appeared with all the changes since 2005, moves confidently. Two thousand and seven was the most successful year in the history of our photography studio; Campbell Salgado Studio has expanded its services and become more actively involved in the community. And we haven’t died even for a moment. In 2008, the studio launched two high-profile portrait photography brands, El Corazón™ and Vignettes™ – each representing a different aspect of our photography, each with its own flavor.

To handle the workload, we redoubled our efforts by strengthening our in-house production team and adding talented associate photographers. We’ve also started some public relations initiatives in preparation for secret projects waiting around the corner. In the coming months and years, we will redefine our vision and continue to create products that will strengthen our reputation as innovators in the portrait photography industry. If 2008 is any example, the most exciting things are yet to come.

We called this time “An Ré Nua”. Campbell Salgado Studio entered its first full year in its current photography studio after an extensive renovation effort. After realizing that the staff, business and its customers had outgrown the previous space, we spent almost a year looking for a new place to call home.

Why I Want Your Kids To Misbehave At Your Portland Family Photo Session

What we found was quite literally home, a 1908 Craftsman style home located in the beautiful Selwood neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. Our new portrait studio is obviously full of endless excitement: hammers on nails, hands in the dirt and equipment upgrades. Our future from this point forward is all about progress: securing team members, improving process and service, and being the perfect fit for our customers.

Two thousand and four: a year for technology. Forged by tradition and a love of film, photographers Kim and Francisco couldn’t resist the benefits of

The end of the century marked the beginning of the growth period. With a symbolic focus on the birth of Kim and Francisco’s son, Tamayo, this time is the same

Working While we’d like to think that the uniqueness of Campbell Salgado’s image made all the sales, we’ve found a niche in pregnancy and baby photography. With the help of its first full-time employee, the photo studio built a client base and solidified its reputation.

The late 90s could probably be toasted as a turning point. In an unfortunate chain of personal tragedies, Kim quit her job as an art therapist to join Francisco in the studio full time. Needing a new place to focus her talents, Francisco puts a camera in her hands and instructs her to press buttons. From Francisco’s loving support and technical guidance, a new photographer was born.

A team was also created. Kim and Francisco could share their creative expression while mirroring each other
